lyrics

Don't let them call you a racist
If you got your black fist up in the air making a statement, to the point you're seen as dangerous
Beyoncé had the 'Panthers' in 'Formation'
Emphatic in presentation, dramatic within it's weigh in on tactics of segregation
And Morgan & Lauhren's statements of blatant
Disrespect that she's anti-cop lack intellect and I got
More for you to disregard when I'm defining pro-black
With cold facts for melanin snapshots that's Kodak Black
Imagery's literally high definition
I challenge you, think critically despite your suspicions
I interrupt your thinking that relied on tradition
That left Sandra Bland hung out to dry while imprisoned
Traumatized like war torn vets
Don't know what's deadlier, the 'Rona or that knee that's crushing George Floyd's neck
And yet I'm the threat, raw in a Metallica tee
Skater jeans and anything else that ain't blacker than me
So in the middle of a pandemic, it's that hectic
When cops enforce social distancing with crass methods
Protesters get slapped to the pavement, then get mashed out
White folk outside congregating? their masks get passed out
And I ain't got a problem with white folk
Unless my presence keeps you off balance 'cause racism's your tightrope
And I hope you use your privilege that's that significant
To make a point more than pyramids for black innocence

Just because I'm pro-black, doesn't mean I'm anti-white
King in my black skin, doesn't mean I'm anti-Christ
Black pride's a raging fire, they rather see candle lights
Just because I'm pro-black, doesn't mean I'm anti-white
Yeah, you gotta deal with it
I don't hate your blue eyes, I'm being real with it. Listen up
Just because I'm pro-black, doesn't mean I'm anti-white
Dear white people, I'm that change in Samantha White

Anti-white? You must be insane
That Logic's kinda Shady when there's Leah James
I'm a fan of Ashley Graham, plus size with curves
Like I love Jill Scott, that's my word, my heroes were
Straight Outta Compton and straight up pop
I studied Nasir Jones and Aesop Rock
I loved two non black girls who ate up 'Pac
And my daughter's best friend will have you straight up shocked
You should've known a Caucasian would've been her road dawg
Her first crush at five had blue eyes and a mohawk
So when I say I'm pro-black, I'm not attacking lack of melanin
I'm urging youth that's black to pull up pants and act like gentlemen
Not 'cause of Cosby's reprimand
But because you're often seen as the threat at hand and not the better man
Who never go a lot further, they're Bob Schmurdered
By a justice system going light on a Brock Turner
So I don't trust a racist cop further
Than I can throw him, knowing they choke us out and leave us on the block murdered
This 'Real America'? Please stand up
Does my life matter or you rather see this rapper handcuffed
Cause a lot of us are studious college kids
With 'Stacey's that don't 'Dash' to "Clueless" politics
And now's here's a myth, plus a point that's factual
White men can't jump and black men can't storm the Capitol

Just because I'm pro-black, doesn't mean I'm anti-white
King in my black skin, doesn't mean I'm anti-Christ
Black pride's a raging fire, they rather see candle lights
Just because I'm pro-black, doesn't mean I'm anti-white
Yeah, you gotta deal with it
I don't hate your blue eyes, I'm being real with it. Listen up
Just because I'm pro-black, doesn't mean I'm anti-white
Dear white people, I'm that change in Samantha White

And for the record, I got love for white people and
Black people, Brown people
Asian American, Latino people
As long as they know my life matters, and they're down to change the standard
And I got love for white people and
Black people, Brown people
Native American, Indigenous people
Cause we're all saved by the blood, but don't label me as a thug
For the record, I got love for white people and
Black people, Brown people
Asian American, Latino people
As long as they know my life matters, and they're down to change the standard
And I got love for white people and
Black people, Brown people
