about

Before Brooklyn MC/songwriter CONQUEST released his 1st official studio album "TORCHBEARER" in 2003, he released two album demos, one of which was 'CODE OF ETHICS', a collection available for a limited time only. However in early 2005, he started working on a mixtape called "MISSIONFIELD LIVE MIXTAPE VOL. 1" & not only did he remix & re-invent hip hop records from the likes of CASSIDY, LUDACRIS, N.O.R.E., LLOYD BANKS & SNOOP DOGG but he also included the original songs off the "CODE OF ETHICS" demo, as well as paid musical tributes to Christian hip hop artists like COREY RED & PRECISE & TODD BANGZ. "MISSIONFIELD LIVE MIXTAPE VOL. 1" also includes LIVE versions of songs off CONQUEST'S 2nd studio album EXPOSE & it was also the mixtape that set the tone for 'QUEST'S 3rd studio album "CONFIDENCE" & even includes a mixtape version of that album's "WORD ON THE STREET". This mixtape also inspired DJ TONY TONE'S 'MISSIONFIELD LIVE MIXTAPE" which included songs off this project, as well as recordings from the likes of MAHOGANY JONES, 3D REMEDY & CONQUEST'S former collective THE MISSIONFIELD (Q The Prophet, Elijah Miguel & ENC)
