On MARCH 31ST 2009, Brooklyn based MC/songwriter/vocalist Jason Andre Roberts a.k.a CONQUEST released his fourth solo album "OUTSPOKEN", an album often regarded as his darkest and most personal album to date. "OUTSPOKEN" is a 'concept album' that chronicles a significant part of his life ranging from 2005 through 2009 and it is very much a LOVE STORY...multiple ones in fact. It starts with his unfortunate divorce leading to the love affair that became the result of his biggest heartbreak which in turn re-ignited a renewed love for Jesus Christ as personal lord and savior...and that's just in the first 5 songs. "OUTSPOKEN" was largely produced by New Jersey resident SAGE THE PROGENY with additional production from CHRIS BELMONT of JAH ROCK'N PRODUCTIONS, CLEVER GEMZ, D. STEELE and CONQUEST himself. It is album that very much continues in the tradition of albums such as BOB DYLAN'S "BLOOD ON THE TRACKS", MARVIN GAYE'S "HERE MY DEAR" and KANYE WEST'S "808'S & HEARTBREAK" as far as full length recordings that explore loss as it effects personal relationships and how it impacts the human experience. This is a Christian's perspective.
